It was pretty cool. Very challenging went with a large group of people from work and all of us were put into two rooms pretty crowded hard to search for clues. But the back story and clues and the whole set up is pretty impressive I think everyone should challenge themselves at least once

Disappointing. We were a big group of various ages. We all love escape rooms and been to several before. The room was really not great. Some of the things didnt work even when we got them right. It was really outdated and disappointing. Crew members were very nice and helpful.

First time here n didnt know what to expect. You go into a room and are given one clue. You take that one clue find that and then it leads you to another clue and so on and so forth. You have an hour to complete the task of finding the gold sort of speak. We did it in about 45 minutes. We all work together well laughed a lot and had a good time.

Great team building. Had a group of 11 in the great carnival escape room It wasnt easy, it was definitely challenging but we all worked together and figured out within the allotted hour of time had a really fun time. Highly recommend it.

This was our second time there, for an escape room. Both times, theyve had great stories and puzzles!

Really good time!! Me and my girlfriend went here on a double date with some friends and we really enjoyed it. The room we did was well put together and there was a lot of attention to detail throughout and had a good level of difficulty for a group who s done escape rooms before. The host, Andrew, was a really kind, funny, and personable guy, he clearly has a passion for his job and absolutely went above and beyond. He gave us a tour of the other activities at the location (axe throwing, rage room, splatter room, etc) and really sold us on it. Overall a fantastic experience with fantastic staff. We will definitely be going again!!!

This place is not for you if you hate fun! What a fun experience! The room we did was very clever and we loved all the red herrings. We came up with a team name- the traumatized trailblazers (unfortunately did not make the leader board :( yet!) Andrew, our host, showed us all the various activities that looked like a blast and had a great sense of humor. Our group loved him! Definitely, will be coming back

This was not worth the price paid per person. The facility smells like urine. You get 20 minutes in a small (approx 6 x10 ) room with worn out, hardly useful weapons , which included a very small bat, a folded over frying pan, and a couple of crowbars. The items you get to smash include around 8 small glass bottles (like perfume sized) and if you are lucky, a wine glass or champagne flute. You can also hit (not smash) well-worn pieces of car body (a door, a quarter panel, etc.), which have been...
hit so many times, there isn t much left to them. For the amount of weapons and items to smash that you get, it takes about 5 minutes to reach boredom. You have to pay extra if you want to bring your own (better) items to smash. You are allowed to play music, but you are playing it through a very small (like JBL Flip size) Bluetooth speaker, which is behind plexiglass so it can hardly be heard. The safety gloves were wet when they were given to us to use, but were adequate. The staff were nice, which is why I give 2 stars vice 1. Unless you plan to bring your own items to smash, I would recommend a different venue.

This review is about my rage room experience at Brainy Actz. My girlfriend and I had a great time in their rage room. They give you about 20 minutes and an array of bottles to smash. Additionally, they have pieces of wood and car doors that you can continuously hit. They have a decent amount of weapons including a crowbar, two mini-sledgehammers, and a baseball bat. They even provided a bluetooth speaker which allowed us to play our own music while in the room. They also have add-on options if you feel the need to smash more bottles or bigger items, though we didnt opt for that. The staff, particularly Jordan, was incredibly nice and informative. Overall, the rage room was fun and therapeutic! We would go again.

Really fun experience! Some of the puzzles can be streamlined a bit better. It sucks when you get stuck due to a technical error.

Awesome time at Brainy Actz! We participated in the Great Carnival Challenge Room. The clues were great and the decorations made me feel like I was in a real carnival. The technology that they have incorporated within this experience is quite impressive!

I did the rage room with my girlfriend and it was totally overpriced for what you got (even with the Groupon). They give you about 10 glass mason jars and a keyboard and that s about all you can break. I went first and had those things broken in about 5 minutes while trying to take my time. And all that was left was some weak pieces of wood and unbreakable big chunks of metal. We were very excited. Left the place with more rage than when we got there. Very disappointed sadly. The staff was nice though.

Wonderful escape room, great for kids! The staff was so accommodating, letting us switch rooms when it was clear the zombie room would be too intense for our group. The detention room is very fun and just the right level of challenge. The staff are fun, energetic and made the experience extra fun for my daughter and her friends for her birthday!!

Rage Room was awesome! Had so much fun watching my 11yo and his friend smash things. Need to go back for myself next! And the people are so cool! Alec was a great host and Michelle was so nice! Go San Diego!

I m being generous with 3 stars. My friends and I have done a ton of escape rooms so we have a lot to compare this to. The escape room we did there was drab, low production and clues seemed disjointed. It was just plain boring. Also we had prepaid per their policy for our group however last minute 1 of the 6 of us couldn t make it and the company would not reimburse us for the one guest. For that reason alone we wouldn t come back and do. It recommend.

I bought two passes for me and my daughter. As I was helping my daughter put her suite on. I could smell how strong of a Clorox smell came as well as the mask gear. As my daughter went inside it was about the first 10 minutes i could tell something was wrong. I opened the door right away removed the mask & saw how pale she was. She started to freak out and said she couldn t breath due to the strong smell of Clorox. I told the staff member who was working I wouldn t go next he then gave me a card and said to call a number on my card to composite my pass. I called and the person who answered was rude and wasn t able to assist me. I do not recommend coming here.

Ive been here a couple of times.. The team have always been pleasant and welcoming. I go there to throw knives (I bring my own). Im not particularly interested in the smash room or the escape rooms, so cant comment on those. There are 2 narrow lanes for knife/axe throwing. Theyre pretty dark and the floor is covered in straw and wood chips, both of which make finding dropped knives pretty difficult to find. The straw means lots of dust gets kicked up when digging around, looking for a missing knife...
. Maximum throwing range is about 15 feet and by then, youre standing far outside the lane, throwing in! I have a target in my (tiny) yard, so throwing at 15 feet is long distance for me and is the main reason I come here... Practicing at different ranges is important. I dont really do axe throwing as I dont find it very challenging - once you learn to throw consistently, its just a matter of adjusting your distance to the target a little closer or further away until it sticks, then youre getting bullseyes pretty consistently from that spot. This place is pretty quiet, so give them some business or well lose the faculty!

Did the rage room and was highly disappointed. First they were 30 min late for our scheduled 4:00 start time. Second they don t allow you to play your own music in the room. They had pandora on and we had multiple ad s play during our time which ruined the vibe. They also only stage the room with big bulky metal pieces, so there is nothing that is actually breakable . With 2 minutes left they brought in one glass bottle for each of us to smash. They also advertised for a 20 min session and ended ours after only 15 min. Wouldn t book again.

Wonderful experience being able to paint with my partner. Staff are courteous and friendly as we signed waivers and then lead to our splatter paint room. We were able to go chaotic with painting our paintings with the included canvas and splatter the walls. A great date idea for 2 people!

Was in san diego visiting from the east coast earlier this week. It was our last day there and in the morning i booked the rage room for my wife and myself. fast forward a few hours found out from home that my grandmother had passed away. obviously crushed by the news, i emailed them and told them i would not be able to attend. i asked to be refunded and they told me they could not due to their policy relating to cancellations/refunds. I was told that i could reschedule for a different day even though i told them i was coming home early next morning. Out close to 100.00. Will never recommend any of their locations to anyway since this is the way they like to conduct business.

Did The Legacy escape room with my husband. Super fun and interactive. Great date night idea. The staff was friendly and helpful, too. Will definitely come back to do the other escape room. We went on a Thursday night and it was nice and quiet for us.

Absolutely never book here! The manager is rude, disrespectful, and abrasive. Wouldn t not listen to the issue with the Groupon and had an employee take the information and never book. Kept over talking and never let us explain what the issue was with their own site. So many other escape rooms on the area and will never be a customer here.
