Haunted train was an amazing experience! Would recommend for every escape room fan. The whole experience is very immersive and challenging. You need to think outside the box. I think there is a four person minimum for this one. It s a lil creepy but it fell in line with the haunted aspect. There are a few giant puzzles instead of fewer smaller puzzles - so don t give up too quickly if you re stumped! You have time. Overall great way design. You really have to pay attention to all the details too.

Listen we had reservations about doing an escape room event. There were concerns about anxiety and small spaces. We were overreacting, to say the least!!!!! My family was visiting from Ohio and knew I liked hanging out in Old Sac so of course I was down to do anything located there. We had THE best time!!! The young lady who assisted us (forgive me for not recalling her name) set up the scenario perfectly!!! We actually wished there was 1-2 more rooms to venture through. I/we will be doing it again very soon!!! WE LOVED IT!!

For a first time escape room experience this was phenomenal. The quality and production level of the room exceeded expectations, the puzzles were genuinely intriguing, and the person working there was excellent at providing hints and help as needed without disrupting our process. Really great, looking forward to going again!

The staff was friendly and our crew had a great time. The puzzle was challenging and we got through with only seconds left on the clock -- utilizing a few hints from, Cass (who was wonderful). The setting is a bit spartan, but it was a good time with the crowd we brough.

One of the best escape rooms weve been to. The staff is great! They make it seem like you walk into a black and white movie. The room itself was very interesting and was the right amount of challenge. Overall, great experience and definitely looking forward to returning.

Wonderful staff, ambience, and theming. It was clear to me and my group that the Haunted Train room was well-thought out and the puzzles were carefully crafted to fit the theme. The only thing that leaves a little to be desired was the final part of the room. Where the first two thirds of the room are fantastic, the last third feels a bit empty and lackluster, with not quite enough puzzles to really fill up the remainder of the 60-minute timeframe. With how much careful crafting and thought went into the beginning of the room, I think that the creators at Neo can easily remedy the ending of the room. All-in-all, still a fun and enjoyable escape room.

My friends and I finished the paranormal train experience AND IT WAS AWESOME! The set was well-decorated and the sound and light design are incredibly immersive! This is a great co-op experience and the puzzles are challenging but not in a frustrating way. Were looking forward to coming back!

Best escape room in Sacramento! We did a team building with 8 people in the Capital Treasure experience. It required lots of team work and was challenging on many levels. We all really enjoyed the experience would recommend to anyone! Great location and the facility was extremely clean.

First time here and would definitely recommend. We had a group of 5 and escaped! But the effects were amazing! A lot of unexpected things, great puzzles and fun. We completed the haunted train, if youre into spooky, creepy and chilling, Id recommend. Adam was really chill!

This was my first escape room I ve been too and I m obsessed. It was the right amount of difficulty for a beginner. Also, the owners were very friendly and helpful when my group was stuck on a puzzle. I will for sure go back and recommend it to other people. (TEAM PAROKYA NI GODY)

This was my first time doing an escape room and the experience was really great. Tristan (sp?) was fantastic! He made the experience really fun. Definitely worth it and I highly recommend! The facility was clean, the puzzle was really fun and interesting, my family and I cant wait to do another one now!

Our visit to the Neo Escape Room was truly unforgettable. We immersed ourselves in both of their meticulously designed escape rooms, each offering a unique and thrilling experience. The attention to detail in the setting was remarkable, creating an atmosphere that was both immersive and engaging. It was evident that a great deal of care and thought had been put into every aspect of our adventure, making it a truly memorable and enjoyable experience.

My coworkers and I chose this place for its location and all the positive reviews. We can honestly say this was extremely fun and challenging for our group to do! Gabriel was a great host and gave us hints throughout that helped propel our progress without giving anything away. This place is a ton of fun if you have a small group of 4-6 people. Definitely try it out, you ll have fun too!

This place was incredible from the very first moment. We walked up to their building and it immediately felt surreal and as if the game was on. Our host was pleasant and answered all of our questions. He seemed happy to be there and it made everything so much more fun. The game was on point. It was more than we thought it would be and everything that it should have been. We were completely immersed in the adventure and story. I am so happy we did it. This is a family memory that we were able to make today. We may return to try the other room.

Me and my wife took five 11 year olds and our 4 year old and we had a blast! The puzzles were challenging and the room was well put together. Tristan was our host and he did a great job. We completed the room with 2 minutes to spare but I m pretty sure we got hooked up with an extra 5 minutes! Made the kids day

We had a great time. Facility is super clean, organized and the hostess was terrific. The actual escape room was challenging and fun. We are going back to do their other room.

Such fun! Challenging but manageable for our group of 10+ year olds with 2 grown ups providing a little help staying organized- though honestly it would have been just as challenging for a group of all grown ups. Our NEO Escape room experience - Capitol Treasure - was more brain games, puzzles and treasure hunting without a spooky element, so it was really family friendly. Our bunch was just old enough, would not have recommended for kids any younger unless the parents were to do all the work. We will definitely be going back!

We had a blast! Just us 4 ladies and this was my first time experiencing an Escape Room! I thought it was great and adventurous! We needed clues to solve the room and get the Gem! The owner was fantastic and really wanted to make sure we had a great time! I will certainly be back as soon as their haunted train room is done !!

First time doing an escape room at NEO Escape and very impressed. Our group has done at least 20 escape rooms and we continue to be impressed by rooms that teach us new tricks and puzzles. The staff is warm, welcoming, and engaging. NEO Escape has a great space that is clean, well-used and comfortable. There wasnt a lot of extraneous stuff in the room or unnecessary distractions. The entire game was immersive and most importantly...fun! The Capitol Escape room combined many different techniques to culminate with a great ending. We cant wait until their next room opens!

We loved this whole experience. The staff, story, puzzles, all fun. I went with my two twenty-somethings and a girlfriend and had a blast. Highly recommended.

Great experience, we walked in and they happened to have a booking available. We had two small kids in our party (3 and 5 years old) and were pleased to find out that they dont charge for children under 6! Staff were very friendly and the Capitol Treasure room was fun. It was a moderate challenge, nothing too convoluted or finicky. Hope to try the other rooms out soon!

Had a great time finding the lost gem. Excellent mix of puzzles. The final challenge was a real treat, ever heist movie fans dream!

We did the haunted train; we were scared and had fun and laughs. The helped we received with clues was very helpful. The best escape room we ever been to and would come again. My daughters and I loved it even though we were scared; we liked finding out the clues.

Our group had a lot of fun at NEO escape rooms! We ran the Haunted Train room and the atmosphere and room gimmicks were very fun. The puzzles were all very physical, so there was a lot of excitement, being able to move about the cabin. I personally got very spooked by the eerie music and being in the dark, but our main puzzle-solver forged ahead with no problem. The spirits (our room guide) were very helpful throughout the experience if we seemed to linger too long on any one puzzle, so we were able to complete the whole experience! Also the pricing was great and setting a reservation through the site was very quick. :D

Great escape room! Our host was super friendly and really theatrical when setting the scene for our room. The puzzles were super fun and engaging, perfect for our team of four. The room itself was beautiful and the details were very well thought out and added to the spooky ambiance. I definitely recommend to any escape room fans or even newbies that wanna dip their toes in the water. A great way to spend an hour with friends!

Super fun and thrilling! We did the Haunted Train. The guy who welcomed us was super nice and read our background story with emotion putting us in the mood for what s to come!! We were able to escape in 66 minutes, it was challenging, creepy/thrilling with adrenaline rush. NEO highly recommended.

Haunted Train was definitely worth it! It had some spooky effects. We also got a slight scare. This room can definitely be upgraded to an even scarier room with more locks. Try it out if you haven t!

This place is insanely good! My friends and I are escape room fanatics and we have done pretty much every escape room in the Sacramento region. Ive done both Neos Haunted Train and Capital Treasure experience and I have to say they are my favorite escape rooms by far. The entire experience is super immersive and the puzzles require actual teamwork and are just the right amount of difficulty. This is the first escape I recommend to people when Im asked! Definitely worth every penny.
