This was an amazing room with plenty of clever challenges. The story was incredibly fun and the staff was professional and helpful. The atmosphere and theme was 100% on point. Make sure when you book your escape to ask for Lisa, she was the absolute best game master.

Had a wonderful time! The game runs beautifully and the set is something out of an 80s dream! The atmosphere is great and youre basically in the game from the minute you wander in. The lobby sets the tone but the Kyle helped drive it home. Im definitely recommending this to anyone looking to play an escape roome One of the best escape rooms Ive done, and very unique!

This is a new arising escape room that is in the midst of expanding. They currently have one game, Code Samurai, that features a unique take on escape rooms through the combination of a retro arcade-based theme and an interactive gamemaster. The room has some really neat (but challenging) puzzles that focuses more on the techy side rather than traditional locks and keys. Room also does a great job at establishing the NeoTokyo environment!

They nailed the atmosphere for the room! Enjoyed the theme, set design, and that sassy RONIN who puts a funny flair to the room. Would recommend as an activity in riverside!

Code Samurai blew my mind! If you love Cyberpunk 2077, skip playing the new phantom liberty dlc and just come here to Escape The Arcade instead. The gamemasters are dedicated and it shows in every aspect of the room s design, puzzle design, and overall immersion.

This place was amazing!! My friends and I have never done an escape room before so we were pretty nervous but it turned out great! We had so much fun and Kyle was so great with making us feel comfortable, giving us hints and he was super funny as well. There s nothing like this downtown so it was super amazing and fun, if you re in the area I highly recommend!!!

We Escaped The Arcade! Our family wanted an adventure, so we headed out on New Year s eve and found this unique escape room with our friendly host Kyle who gave us a challenge trying to solve riddles, find 80 s floppy disk, and work as a team. We had many memories that night laughing, screaming, and high fiveing one another because we escaped the Samurai with 7 minutes to spare. Good Times

Kyle was such a great GM for our experience. The room can be done with 2 or more people...perhaps 6 as a max id recommend. The puzzles are custom built with lots of programming and neat reveals. It has a very 80 retro vibe which was fun. Definitely check it out!

Opening the door to Escape the Arcade is like opening a portal to another world and not just because of the immersive lobby decorations! The clever storyline is supported by an imaginative set and delightful game master interaction. Together, all this leaves you with the feeling of having stepped into a cool childhood memory or dusted off a well-loved video game. We ll definitely be recommending this experience to folks, and we can t wait to come back to see what Escape the Arcade creates next!

We had a great experience at this escape room. It brought back all the nostalgia of an 80s and early 90s arcade. The game play is smooth, the story is interesting, and the puzzles are a lot more dynamic than just the same locks and codes you have seen before. This has a more interactive feel and really forces a team to work together. We also got to meet the owner and he is fantastic. A natural DM (Dungeon Master) who guides the game with humor. He is hoping to expand this year and I cant wait to see what story he comes up with next. If you are looking for a fun escape room, something a little outside the average keys and locks, check out this place!

This place is awesome! Completely emmersive with great music. All puzzles require out of the box thinking and dont just rely on the typical combination locks and keys. You can really feel the love and care that went into crafting this unique experience.

If you want a challenging escape experience and you love the 80 s, this is your place. Although brand new, Escape the Arcade has a promising future. It s an immersive experience full of puzzles to figure out and objects to collect on your journey to defeat R.O.N.I.N. For the purpose of this review I won t go too into detail so as to not ruin the experience with spoilers. What I will say is if you re like me and grew up playing the original Nintendo and other 2D arcade games, you re going to love...
Read full review the premise of the story. The location itself is a hidden gem in downtown Riverside and, from what I was told, is going to be expanding and adding two additional rooms. The escape room itself is simple and yet has complex puzzles that will challenge you. We ended up escaping but not before a lot of head scratching. I will admit that I am biased towards the service because the gamemaster was my little sister, but she is very helpful and extremely sassy. She s always watching and will call you out when you do silly things like try to open doors prematurely or hold onto props for way too long. When my better half and I went, we brought along my brother in law as an early birthday party which he thoroughly enjoyed. This place is great for groups and parties but just be forewarned, teamwork is key. Overall it was a great experience and I would encourage anyone and everyone to check it out because although they re a single room right now, they ve developed relationships with other escape rooms and can refer you to some other interesting and even terrifying escape experiences. Check them out, ask for Ivette - you won t be disappointed.

Wow! From the second you enter to when you leave, the experience is fantastic. No spoilers: So many things here Ive never seen in an escape room before. Great atmosphere, excellent puzzles, friendly owner.

Really fun and creative room. We had a really good host/game master. Would definitely enjoy more Escape Room like this. Big plus for people that like retro gaming/arcades or into cyberpunk like genre.

This escape room was totally RAD!!! . The retro feel made this room really fun, puzzle are cool, not to hard not to easy. I definitely recommend this room.

This is an 80s nostalgia dream. From the moment you walk in there are retro video games to play, Back to the Future playing on the TV, instant good vibes. The escape room was so cool. Multiple challenges/puzzles to keep everyone engaged. It was perfect for our group of 5. My favorite part of the experience was getting ROASTED for asking for clues. Beware Ronin got jokes. All good fun and would highly recommend this escape room.

Was a great date night, had a really fun time and was able to really enjoy myself. Great staff with a passion for the story line! Recommend 10/10

This room was so cool!! Definitely nostalgic from the moment you walk in with vintage acrade games in the lobby to the immersive atmosphere of the room. Game Guide Kyle was so interactive and funny. For sure cant wait to see whats next!

Ive done over 100 rooms, and this one has some of the most creative puzzles Ive seen, and the room was very immersive.
