Super fun. Haunted saloon was so detailed and authentic looking. Quite the challenge for our group of first-timers, but the escape room employee was awesome and the hints helped us break free haha. We left in high spirits and had a great time.

WOW! What a fun experience. This place was amazing from the minute we stepped in the door we were greeted with with a friendly smile. There were 5 of us and we hadnt done an escape room. The process was kindly explained to us and the rest is history! Very Very well done escape room experience. This is a MUST do! Our group age range was 22-28yo so YES this is for ANYONE who enjoys critical thinking activities!

Ive done a good number of rooms, loved a few, liked a lot and hated some. This one was great. Lots of fun puzzles and a great theme. A few of the puzzles seemed a little too complicated to figure out unless you have help from the host, but I still give this a five star experience. I definitely recommend stopping in to give this room a try.

This is one of the best escape rooms I have visited. The entrance and lobby was nice and clean, which has not been the case at other escape rooms. Staff was very friendly and entertaining making the experience even better. The room was set up really well and you can tell they put a lot of thought into it. I highly recommend doing either of the rooms, we did the time machine one and it was so much fun! Booking was really simple from their website and it was well priced compared to the other escape rooms available in the area. Highly recommend!!!

My husband and I decided to do an escape room one day with not knowing much about them. We contacted Codebreakers and they were able to get us in. Let me just say we had an absolute blast. Of course the more people probably the better but to have that laugh was worth every single minute. We will definitely be back again for more great times. Thank you again Codebreakers for an amazing time.

I went with a few of my friends because we were curious. We did not expect to have a ton of fun, but just enjoy the experience. Little did we know we would have an INSANE amount of fun. Our group got into the room and suddenly the adrenaline kicked in. We blew through the locks and continued along our journey to escape and loved every minute of it. By the time we left we were all too excited and wanted to do a million more escape rooms. This one was hard and rewarding and we took 3rd place overall. Highly recommend visiting this place.

Highly recommended! I love the rooms here, I ve done all three they offer and they are all so unique and cool! Especially when you have a good group, it s such a great experience. The rooms are well thought out, really detail oriented/awesome looking and challenge you in the best ways, not to mention you can choose how you want to play it whether you get unlimited clues, three clues, or none just contributing to the greatness of this place. And the owner is so chill and great! He puts so much effort in and you really see that come out in each of the rooms. Everyone should really come here and try out each room. I just did Room 13, and it was the best and favorite one I did out of the seven I ve done so far.

Absolutely amazing escape room. The owner is nothing short of astounding and energetic for his business and you can literally see the amount of time he dedicates to his rooms. Wouldnt recommend a better place for an escape room!

We were in the area trying to find something to do while visiting family. We had such a GREAT TIME! It was a wonderful family bonding experience, the owner was very passionate about what he does! There were 7 of us and there were plenty of puzzles to keep us all busy! Ive done 30 rooms before and the pirate room was delightfully entertaining, especially if youre bringing in people who dont have a lot of escape room experience. We also did Room 13, which was a good challenge!! Give these people your business!! They deserve it!

Incredible experience!! My husband and I love tougher rooms so we did the Paranormal Saloon, and it was the best room so far! This room had tricky but well made puzzles, thought out clues, an immersive room, and challenging puzzles. We made it out with 3 minutes and 30 seconds and would do it again and again if we could!

We had a few 8th grade boys celebrate our sons birthday here, and they had a blast! The Haunted Saloon was a bit difficult for them, but they had fun despite not getting out. The owner was very helpful, answered the phone when I called with a question, and even explained how the room works to my husband, as they were watching the boys through the cameras. A great experience!

We had the worst experience at this escape game place. Today was our second time playing one of their game. The first time was already bad but we decided to give them another chance and it was even worse! The room was haunted saloon/paranormal investigation. None of the puzzle made sense, and half of them did not work! We spent so much time trying to figure out puzzles just to realize that we had already solved them through another way or just because the lock was broken. The hints given were not...

My husband and I went for a valentines/bday/anniversary date and it was so much fun! We did the paranormal room and we had such a great time! Sadly we werent able to finish the room but we will most definitely be coming back to try and finish it and then to try all the other rooms! The owner was super amazing and even helped me out during it because I was clueless on some parts. It was over all an amazing experience!

We had a great time in the haunted saloon. Definitely recommend this room. It wasn t easy, in fact, it was pretty hard, but a ton of fun. Our 13 year olds had a lot of fun and were able to figure out some clues as well so its definitely a family game ! We would love to go back for the new room 13. Keep up the great work Codebreakers!

Room 13 is such a great room with awesome immersion and so many fun puzzles! The owners are super amazing people and always make us feel welcome! Seriously great rooms combined with seriously great people. Definitely check them out if you get the chance!

This was such an awesome place! The Egyptian room was amazing!! This was our first time going to an escape room and what an experience! The guy that runs this place was super nice! Very helpful and just courteous as anything. My wife and I had a great time and we will be returning to Codebreakers for Room 13. You can bet on that. This place is a must. It will only get better.

Celebrated birthdays with 6 adults. Was so fun. 4 of us had never done an escape room. Everyone had great time--an escape from the reality of the pandemic for an hour!! This room was challenging with lots of decoding. Great team builder or just for fun. We are hooked.

We started our friends 40th party here. It was awesome! It had lots of great puzzles to figure out. We had a blast trying to figuring them out. If you havent been here, you are missing out! We cant wait to go back to try out the other rooms! Thanks Codebreakers for a great time.

We came to celebrate my sons 16th Birthday with his friends. Everyone had so much fun! It was our first time at an escape room and everyone is looking forward to doing it again soon!! The owners were awesome! Great experience!

My family and I were visiting the area and staying down at La Costa resort and codebreakers was a short distance from the resort. I went with my mother-in-law who is 80, my wife and My two daughters who are five and eight. As soon as we walked into the facility we were greeted and we re treated well right from the start.We played two games the Atlantis pirates game and the haunted saloon. My friends and I tackled Room 13 and it was pretty hard with 4 people. We got every clue right except the very last one needed but had a great time. It s a good set up and has lots of clues. Best to follow the script and get one at a time and be methodical. Really enjoyed the experience and will come back for another room!

Weve done 50+ escape rooms. This is the first time I felt that need to write a negative review on any of them. This is the second game we played at this location. After having a lackluster experience in the first one (Room 13 V2), where a number of puzzles were affected by things not operating correctly, we decided to give Codebreakers another shot. Read full review is poorly screened off. Poorly, because it was left completely open and we could see inside and see the computer monitors showing another group playing a game. That, plus you could clearly hear other guests through the walls as they spoke to each other during their play. Not the best first impression. But onto the game experience... We played the Haunted Saloon game (aka Paranormal Investigation). The theming and everything was great. Theres lots of stuff to see and fine details that you need to pay attention to in order to advance. However, our game was again impacted by things not working as intended. Things opened that werent supposed to open. We worked on a puzzle for 20 minutes only to find out that that we had already gained access to what that puzzle was supposed to solve (because something opened when it shouldnt have). Funnily enough, when we asked for hints, the game master continued to give us hints on how to solve this puzzle, never having realized that we already accessed what this puzzle was supposed to let us access. When we asked the game master face-to-face at the end of the game, he shrugged it off as a technical issue and didnt say anything else. In fact, he barely spoke a word when he saw us other than to ask us if we wanted a photo. Not even a, have a nice day or anything. A cringeworthy experience overall. If the owner is reading this: please, train your staff or hire some better game masters. Thats half of the experience, and whoever you had working this game completely ruined it.

This is one of the most amazing and intense experiences i have had! It is a wonderful place to go anytime of the day or year. Austin is the owner of the business and does EVERYTHING himself. He spends hours a day working on his rooms and perfecting the experience for his customers. We went back and did 2 different rooms that blew our minds. The attention to detail and hard work Austin puts into his craft is unmatched and i am extremely honored to have been a part of his dream and journey. Thank you Austin! We will be back!

Did the Time Machine with a group of 8. It was our first escape room, and we loved it. We will definitely be coming back. It was just challenging enough to make it fun, but not impossible. FAQ - Do they lock you in? For safety you are never actually locked in. Just progressing room to room. My Suggestion - Bring a diverse group of different ages and personalities. I think it really helped us get through the different puzzles.

I really hate to give any small business a bad review, but I felt this was necessary for future families to consider. Yesterday we played the Haunted Saloon game at Codebreakers after enjoying their Atlantis Pirates game a few weeks back. We play as a family, 2 forty-somethings and our 11 yr old son. In total, weve played about 30 escape rooms in So Cal and Vegas over the past 10 months. Hands down this was the worst experience yet, and easily takes over our worst game slot from BrainyActz Carnival...
Read full review. The game is very difficult and we knew going in that we were out of our league, but most gamemasters offer to nudge us along. This gentleman did not. In fact he told us in the room that wed likely never finish. When I asked about helping us along, we were told he could show us everything after time had expired during the good bye phase of the escape room. Heres what really made this game stink: 1) Its darker than it needs to be and the game has several (if not all) clues that require pages of reading, note cards, scripts, etc 2) While they do give you small flashlights, the items to read are terribly worn and over all in bad shape 3) Several of the props are broken, missing, or dont align to give you the right clues. Broken gun, a candle that had broken away from glue, missing nails to complete a string puzzle, etc. These were all acknowledged by the game master 4) I feel anyone can make a game incredibly difficult by flooding players with a ton to read (in the dark) and an abundance of basic locks. Typically theres entertainment, cool things, new things, and other wow moments along the way. This game had none.....not one 5) We play to enjoy family time and teamwork. If you call holding a flashlight, so someone can put cards together team work then maybe this game is for you 6) While the set looks cool and immersive, clues are given using a single person headset (see team and family above), and an Alexa type device that sits in the corner taking from the set look and feel 7) Even the saloon stage is falling apart to the point our game host told us not to put papers (and you get plenty) on it because they fall through the cracks and its a pain for him to retrieve them 8) As part of the game, a ghost bangs on things to clue you to something you may need. Unfortunately, theres construction in the room next door, so twice we had to ask the Alexa thing if the banging was a clue or construction I could continue, but I think you get the idea. We actually stopped playing with 10 minutes left because we were bored. We are ok failing, but it simply did nothing for us, so we just stopped. Weve really met some passionate and creative game designers in our 10 months of playing escape, and this was a sad reminder that you do hit the occasional profiteer in this industry. To finalize the experience, our game host had no interest in our feedback, seemed to get frustrated with us for touching previously broken props, and never even offered the traditional end of game photo. He just kind of scooted us out.

We had a great time celebrating a birthday and escaping The Time Machine. This was my 6th escape room. Well thought out. Helps to have some escape room experience just so you have an idea what youre looking for, but not required. This would actually be a good 1st one. Also, have found it more fun to have 6 or more in your own group. Would definitely return to try other room.

Loved the Atlantis escape room! Staff is very kind and helpful. Cannot wait to take my friends again for the Time Machine escape!! This was my first experience with escape rooms, and one of my friends 6-7th time and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Wish there were more stars to give!

We did two escapes here, the same day, we liked it so much! Great staff, fun plots, reasonable cost. We navigated our first to safety, but got cought on time while detecting the way out on our second escape. Nice balance between apparent and uncertain clues. Looking forward to do more.

We went today for my daughters 11th birthday. It was the MOST fun!!! The staff is amazing and the game was really fun and not too easy. We absolutely loved it and cant wait to go back!!
