Escape Oakland

My family took me here for Mothers Day, and it was such a great bonding experience! The amount of coordination required to solve these puzzles set the stage for miracles: my teenager communicated with me in complete sentences for 45 minutes straight!!! We also got to give each other kudos, listen to differing opinions, hype each other up...all the stuff you wish you did more of. Definitely worth the price of admission, and the memory-making opportunity was priceless.

It was my first escape room experience, and it was all amazing the adjectives! I did the bunker was challenging, but all the was super friendly, and helpful. P.S the facility was beyond clean ! Definitely going again

Had an amazing experience with Gamemaster Jake!

We did 2. We bought in a newbie and she was so happy and didnt want to stop playing. ADA wheelchair accessible. The GM were friendly and did not give hints unless asked which we appreciate. My guest said she wants to go back. That is a high compliment. The Bunker was a great room to get started.

My son surprised me with this escape room experience as a belated birthday gift. We had a great time together working out the clues. The room was well designed and the perfect level of challenge. This was my 3rd time doing an escape room, but the first time with only 2 people. We enjoyed the experience and were able to finish without assistance right at the buzzer! Valerie was a good host. She explained the rules, etc., and was friendly.

I did a corporate event here and it was so great! I dont love small enclosed spaces and was concerned that Id feel claustrophobic in the room but I was absolutely fine. The room had an AC unit so there was plenty of air flow, and I was relieved to know I could pop out to grab a glass of water or use the restroom any time I wanted. Turns out I was too into solving puzzles to feel worried at all and ended up having lots of fun. The Escape Oakland team was awesome to work with - thanks for a great event!

I went with my work team of 18 and we all had a great time! Wes was great and facilitated three rooms all running at the same time. The themes were fun, the puzzles were engaging, and the puzzles were challenging but not impossible. It was also great because there was enough to do at one time that everyone had a role to fill. Would definitely recommend!

Exceeded my expectation my miles. The rooms and puzzles are very high quality and really well thought out. The staff is super friendly and supportive. I took my 11 year old son and his friend they loved it and wanted to do another room right away.

This was my first escape room and all 19 of us teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the rooms. It helped us bond as a group and everybody escaped! (Although it was close). I had a lot of fun and the backstory for my room (Spy Games) was very intriguing. Id recommend it.

We chose The Bunker for my friends birthday and it was sooo fun! Definitely challenging but not to where you re feeling too discouraged! Jake was awesome and gave us great clues. Will definitely come back again!

We went for a work community builder and it was really great! The rooms/games were super fun and hard enough to really get you thinking and problem solving together. The one staff member working all alone was fabulous--fun, clear, helpful, and with no delays! I would recommend them and do it again!

Our Model UN team has a wonderful time together solving Spy Games. Jake was a super welcoming host and added to our overall experience. We ll definitely be back for another escape room on our next trip!

The game is afoot! Have done 3 escape rooms in Oakland thus far and they just keeping getting better! Clues are everywhere and your brain is pushed to the max (in a good way). Great for groups (did someone say team building), but I have done it with my husband (great date night!). Highly recommend Escape Oakland! Staff are top notch and friendly, you can get clues if needed too - check it out!

This was a very fun and challenging activity for our family (two adults, 4 kids ages 11-15). We did Secret Society and with a couple of last minute hints managed to solve the puzzles and become secret society members. Staff were great, friendly and helpful. We had a blast, thank you!

We did this for my daughters 10th birthday along with her friends. Jason was our GM and he was great! The kids definitely needed some adult guidance for some of the puzzles, but they were able to find a lot of the things themselves and everyone had a blast. The escape room itself was really fun - lots of variety and surprises and the puzzle at the end was definitely the best one.

Just had a great experience with Jake at Escape Oakland. Didn t even know there was an escape room here near downtown. Such a fun group activity to do. Great if you re super competitive too! Jake was super nice and informative. Great customer service

We had so much fun! Our group went as a work bonding experience and it definitely helped us learn how we best collaborate. Wes was a huge help because we definitely needed some clues! Recommend for anyone looking for a good time out in Oakland :)

I was here about a week ago at the beginning of the new year, and I absolutely loved it. Valerie, Wes, and Maureen were AWESOME! I had such a fun time playing in these rooms. I loved the storylines of all of them, and the aesthetic of the building was everything! I m coming back definitely. Got some records to beat. P.S. Thank you Kevin as well for his hospitality.

These folks are imaginative and extremely friendly and hospitable to their guests. Our extended family had a wonderful time with one team doing a hard room and one doing an easy room. We all had fun.

What an amazing first experience, the staff were very helpful and kind. Jake was very awesome to talk to as well as being an awesome guide for how everything worked. Will definitely come back again to try the other experiences!

Escape Oakland was an amazing experience. My wife and I went on Valentine s Day and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Jake, our game master was amazing and so so great with guiding us through the game and making the entire experience super fun and exciting! Going back this weekend with friends!

Just came here and did all the rooms in one night and escaped all of them! Wes, Maureen, and Valerie all took AMAZING care of my group for each room. I really enjoyed how they all had their own spin on everything and each made the experience soooo much more enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend trying out their rooms

Did the Society room on Sunday with some friends. Was very fun and Wes was super helpful in getting us set up and giving us clues when we inevitably needed them. Will definitely be coming back!

My son came here with friends for his 14th birthday. They had a great time and the staff were super nice. The Society escape room was challenging for them, but they managed to do it just in the nick of time (with a LOT of hints!)

I did the Society escape room with my friends and it was super fun! Our GM Wes was really nice and helpful--there were a lot of puzzles that we were overcomplicating haha. Thank you for the great time!

The entire experience was super fun. It was my first escape room and we were pretty lame but we got good hints that didnt give everything away and kept us moving forward. I cant wait to return and try a different room!

I did the spy games escape room with a friend which was absolutely amazing! So many puzzles that it really helped us to think outside the box, and our game master Valerie made the experience that much more great for us!

My husband, daughter and I just had such a fun afternoon at Escape Oakland. It was our first Escape Room and our game master Jake was awesome! The orientation was quick and easy, the escape room itself very well set up, and the game that was recommended for us first-timers, The Society was challenging enough to keep us busy. We even had to ask for help a few times from our game master. We are now hooked and will return soon to do another one of their 4 rooms! We also heard that they are opening...
Read full review up a new location in Walnut Creek so we re looking forward to more escape rooms once we ve done all 4 at Escape Oakland! Highly recommend this as a fantastic way to spend an hour as a family or bunch of friends doing something that gets you thinking in your feet, solving puzzles as a team and having lots of laughs along the way!

We had an awesome time. The game and rooms were fun; puzzles were challenging; and Jake was awesome. Can t wait to go again!
