ESCAPE Modesto

Had a lot of fun here. Came with my boyscout troop and attempted the jail break room. Unfortunately we werent able to get out in time, but the boys all had a blast and we will definitely be back to try out another room.

Ive been to a lot of escape rooms and this one is so so. The puzzles are challenging for first-timers, but they dont necessarily go in any kind of sequence. You basically just have one puzzle after the next to complete with no real pattern. For someone whos never done escape rooms before, this would probably be an easy start to how these work, but to someone whos done escape rooms, this would be pretty basic and easy to complete.

Did this for my Daughter Birthday! We did the Prison Break room...and had a blast (hint: dont be to stubborn to ask for the hints!). Going back to finish the prison break and the other rooms. Be prepared to take challenge!

I went here for my 17th birthday with a few friends. Its a must-do in Modesto! I did the jail break one, and it was very fun, even though we didnt win! The guy who explained everything did a great job!

The staff member was friendly and accommodating. This rating is solely based on experience especially since we have done a King Tut themed escape room in Ohio. It was... ok. The room was not well thought out and the props looked like a high school drama team put the set together for a play. The clues were decent enough yet complex. It definitely takes some clever and out-of-the-box thinking to escape the room. Some clues were overly complex and perhaps it takes a certain mind to solve. So if you want an experience that challenges your mind then go for it. You will appreciate the escape.

Cool concept and the room that we had (King Tut) was more like going to a math class. Could be better if they just made it more around solving puzzles more than solving algebra equations.

This was AMAZING!!!! We took all 6 of us and joined another couple for one hour of puzzle solving fun! The guide was just helpful enough to keep us moving forward and we were able to escape! We are already planning our next trip back!! :)

We had an absolute blast at ESCAPE Modesto. The room was challenging and kept us guessing the whole time. I highly recommend giving them a try.

This was a lot of fun for everyone. We went for my sons 13th birthday. We had 9 people from ages from 7 to 45. Everyone was able to help and participate. Everyone had a lot of fun. We will definitely do this again!

This place is awesome. We did the King Tut room and got out with 6 min to spare! I thought almost everyone escaped fairly easily but it was actually really a challenge and took all 9 of us to figure it out. Just went back to do the prison break room! It was even more challenging. It was super fun and this one had a twist with some of us being handcuffed to the wall! I highly recommend this as a fun family activity or a team bonding experience for a business!

Was a lot of fun would probably be better if you knew everyone you are playing with the only person I knew was my husband. But we will be coming with a group of our friends was so worth it. And our guide was really awesome also thanks for a great date night!!!

I booked an event here and everything seemed to have went wrong. I had the wrong number on my form so no one could call me. I checked my email too late and what started off as a simple day became full of sadness. The owner here reached out with so much kindness and compassion I can say nothing short of this being such a humbling experience. If only the world had more good and honest people in it. I had the pleasure of booking my event with Jordan who was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I will be rebooking in the future.

We did the Egyptian themed room. It was alot of fun. I think they could do a little more with the decorations though. The puzzles were challenging but not impossible. We made it out with 1 minute to spare.

We had a great time at Escape Modesto! Evan was our host all 3 times. He was awesome! We had our family in town from Florida and did it as a fun activity. well- we had so much fun we went back again and again to do all three rooms. We can t pick a favorite because they are all unique and creative! This a fun family activity and tests communication. Great way to tease each other! We strongly recommend this activity with friends, family or as a team bonding. We will be back anytime there is a new room! Thank you for the wonderful experience(s) Evan!

ESCAPE Modesto was awesome! The team was very accommodating when our group was delayed from dinner, and we had a blast. Brought my team of 11 for a team building event, and boy were we challenged! We did not escape, but we really enjoyed it!

We took the family for my wife s Birthday and we all had a great time! The experience was fun and challenging and the staff were Great, as were the occasional hints.offered up. We all sgreed, this was a great time! We highly recommend @escapemodesto for a fun time!

Really fun with a big group, the host explained everything clearly and helped guide us when we were stuck. We didnt win but the experience made up for it.

My group and I had so much fun doing this escape room! Layla, our host, was amazing and very good at giving clues. Such a fun night. Cant wait to come back again for another room!

Our first live escape experience. The staff was friendly. She gave us a hint or two periodically while we were in the room. We did the mummys tomb one. We had a great time even though we didnt solve it. Worth the 45 min drive from Stockton.

Went here for my birthday with a party of 8! We did the King Tut room and had a blast. The room was well put together with a lot of puzzles to do. Gave enough puzzles for everyone to participate. The host was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely return to try other rooms! Thanks for the wonderful experience!

Came here with the family and had an amazing time doing the Prison Break room! The clues and puzzles were very well thought out and Tiffany was super friendly and welcoming. Came to ESCAPE Modesto with a group of friends and we all had a great time! The booking process on their website was easy and user friendly. Arriving there, we had an amazing experience with the staff and found the place to be very clean and professional. The escape room itself was a lot of fun and well thought out! We loved that the location was downtown so we were able to grab dinner before and go out after to discuss our experience. Im definitely looking forward to coming back to try the other rooms and bringing other friends or family. Thank you for bringing such a great experience to the valley!

This was my first time in an escape room and while not successful was a great experience. The puzzles were fun and challenging, the props were great and the staff was fantastic!!

Was visiting from Houston and decided to try Escape Modesto. Staff was excellent, friendly, enthusiastic and only as helpful as we wanted. Was pleasantly surprised at the puzzle designs. Most were challenging but not impossible. Did 2 rooms in 2 days. Had a very good time. Got paired up with smaller groups which does impact game play a bit. Would recommend assembling enough people to make your own group to fill the room. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because of difficulty of a couple...
Read full review math problems in the Tut room and I am used to rooms with multiple immersive rooms connected together but only accessible once you complete some puzzles and then items between rooms begin to come together. Overall this is a good, fun group experience which will challenge your wits and teamwork.

Went last night into King Tuts room with the fam and a couple friends for daughters birthday cuz even if you think its a bit pricy, in reality you going to spend that much at your other theme parks anyways and this is something different. We had A BLAST!!! Your so pumped your gonna make it and dive into it and get confused and so excited when you find things and frustrated when you cant but in the end, was one of the funniest things we have ever done and we will be doing another one 100% if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Please anyone whose never done, do!!!

This place is amazing! Props to the brothers who started this business together. All of their concepts are originally made, it challenges you to think on your toes and work together, such a great new addition in downtown Modesto. A MUST try if you are in the area. Book a reservation because this place is popular!
