The location can seem kind of shady when you first arrive, but thats the arts district for you. The staff was friendly and helpful, and gave good instructions at the start of the game. We did the Alcatraz room and it was challenging but still really fun and innovative. My whole group of 9 got to be involved and work together, and we had a great time. We will definitely be back to try the other rooms!

Great place to exercise your mind. They have 3 rooms. Alcatraz is hard but doable. Make sure you have at least 4 people. Its exciting! And a great brain workshop!

Proceed with caution! Ive been to 100+ escape rooms, so Im a bit judgmental. My gf and I played the Alcatrez game a few weeks ago and had a great time. Its pretty much the basic version of an escape room, but its a great example of how the games began. Im glad theyve kept it around, although it may be horribly outdated. We played the Vault last night. I cant think of a shittier experience in years. It genuinely felt like the people writing the puzzles for this game gave up and googled riddles. What a horrid excuse for a game. Bottom 5% easily. Not sure if this place is into the game or if its a cash grab. They dont dress it up, for sure.

Its a bit much. There was only two of us so that definitely contributed to the difficulty, but some of the challenges were WAY over thought and random. They give you a background story to play along with but give you random tasks to complete. The best thing about this place was the super sweet front desk guy who helped us out and made sure we werent extremely frustrated.

Can i just tell you ive done at least 4 different escape room and have yet to win any! I mean i swear I am not dumb nor is the group i was with- I think, jk- so this weekend we did one at Escape IQ and the IQ part had me questioning myself with all the failed attempt in the past ..butttttt- Spencer the owner and his team really hyped us up and made us felt very comfortable and excited about FINALLY winning one! We were given the medium level of hardship - ALCATRAZ- and was separated into 2 group...
(boys against girls) and locked in a jail cell! It was a bit daunting at first being a completely dark room but with the help of 3 tiny flash light and communication with the boys - we were able to figure this whole thing out with a few minutes left over!! YA TA!! Note: make sure to bring bottle of water, its hot in the waiting room, and just always good to hydrate! note 2: ladies, its best to wear pants because this requires a bit of crawling!

Best Escape room Ive ever been too man. Go check this place out when you visit LA. I heard that theyre building more rooms due to loads of customer that they receive each week. They even have great things to do around the area (Caffe, Art District CO-OP). GO CHECK THIS FREAKING AWESOME PLACE OUT !!!!!:D

This was an awesome experience, first time ever to an escape room. My mom sent my dad, brothers oldest son of mine and sister in law. We had a blast almost made it... I would recommend this to everyone.

Unfortunately, our experience with the Alcatraz room was not an enjoyable one :( Set design was below average compared to other escape rooms in LA. The immersion just wasnt there - and it didnt help that there was really loud dance music bumping from the floor below us. There was no sense of urgency to escape and with the limited hints given (2), we could only wait for the group in the other cell (more puzzles in that room) since there was nothing we could do in our cell. Also, caution if you have bad knees since the floor was very hard. This room is located near Urth Cafe. Parking was a bit of a challenge since we were there on a Saturday and its Art District.

Super hard, our team tried the Alcatraz room. Didnt even come close. Some reason I want to be locked up again to see if we can escape.

Decent escape room. I did The Vault. It was not as good of quality as other escape rooms but a good price here.

So much fun. Get a few friends together and see if you can outsmart your way out of a prison cell or a bank vault.

As a spontaneous stop while venturing the art district I would recommend it. However if you are looking for a great puzzle room Id go elsewhere. The staff were friendly and helpful. The puzzle was challenging enough. However the design was barebones and it felt like it hasnt been updated since its opening.

I did the Alcatraz room with a group of 10 and everyone had a blast. We were able to escape the room but it was the right mix of challenging and fun! We want to come back and try Dr. Browns Manor

Terrible. Website stated there was an 11pm slot, so we paid for it. Nearing the time, we called to confirm and such and nobody was answering. So when we showed up, the doors were locked. So we were basically just scammed of our money. Why would you advertise a time slot if you re not even going to stay until then and close early? Area is also sketchy, so I would not recommend this place at all.

Great time. We escaped with a two person crew. First timers. Interesting way to open your eyes and think. Loved it. Will go back to do the second one.
