Made reservations 5 days in advance for a Friday evening (2 rooms - 6 PM & 6:15 PM). We had a group of 11 people and split into teams - fun to race against each other. I LOVED the Kings Keep room! Spooky and lots of neat decorations and themed elements. We enjoyed the puzzles (Id say mid-range level challenge), and we made it out in 26 minutes (with 6 people). Would definitely return to try the other rooms and consider renting one of their take-home escape room kits!
Another ladies night for us and we always like to try something different.. absolutely loved it .. the guy who worked there was very patient with us older ladies lol.. we had a good time and will be back..
The room was decorated so well, this was our first time at Next-Gen, and Kings Keep was a little easy for us, but we want to come back and try the more difficult room soon!
My daughter has been asking about going to an escape room for the past three weeks. A day cleared up in the schedule and we booked it for the entire family. It was a great experience and helped us communicate to solve a common goal. Be prepared when you get there, the parking lot looks deserted and the place looks closed, but someone will greet you at the door and get you started as soon as you arrive. The place is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. If someone in your party gets...
scared or has to use the bathroom you can leave your escape room at anytime through the door you came in from without causing your team to lose. And you can rejoin them mid game if you end up stepping out. Great experience. I think this would be a cool team building exercise for an office or student organization as well. We ll be coming back.
It was so fun from the time you walked in to the time you left. It was entertaining as well as mind boggling. Lol I loved the theme. The room and the mystery it was so cool and cannot wait to try the other rooms. I highly recommend this place. Was a very fun first time experience. The host also is outstanding thanks to him we had such an awesome experience. Loved it !!!! 10/10
Very fun! We had a bday party with a bunch of teenagers and did the Pirate Escape Crate. Puzzles were good, not too difficult, and the powerpoint link included for hints/solutions was helpful and needed. My only minor criticism would be that there were only three options to choose from with the escape crates, and one of them was Christmas themed, so outside of that, it was just murder or pirate, and perhaps there could ve been more options, but I understand if the business is just getting started, why there wouldn t be a ton of options.
This was an amazing date night activity! Our room was packed with brain stimulating riddles and humor. We didnt realize that the bomb room was more intermediate to advanced but our game master did a great job making sure we had a great time while getting blown up. We will definitely be back to try the other rooms.
Had a great time in the Kings Keep room! Our Game Master was very friendly and helped us with hints when we asked for them. The Kings keep room was a little dark so it helped to use our phones for flashlights. The puzzles were a bit challenging but fair and the decorations were very fitting! We finished with a few minutes to spare from the 1 hour time limit, we all had a great time!
I had a great time with my friends/co-workers. We are deaf, and we tried our best to communicate in the dark room. Even though, we use our mobile to turn on the light to see each other as communication access. However, we discuss what is missing and how to solve the clues. We had one candle left and we made it out. YAY!
Super fun, but there was a few hiccups during the game that kept us unable to move forward. One of the puzzles to the door was not reset so it couldnt be opened, the bird was not properly connected so it wouldnt respond and a staff member had to come in and check it so it would work. The staff was great. The place was clean and had other board games and puzzles to purchase to take home. They just need to keep the rooms in good repair so things work properly since tickets are on the high side.
This was our first time doing an escape room and we had a blast (Literally because we didn t solve the bomb room). Damien was friendly and his energy was very infectious. Also he didn t make fun of us when we constantly asked for hints, that was a plus Overall a great experience, we can t wait to go back and try the other rooms.
Elijah, the game master was really rude to me when we finished the game. I did 90% of the work and he told me i didnt deserve to hold the sign that said i pulled my teams weight. It made me really sad when he pulled it out of my hands and said i didnt deserve it... If im paying 35 dollars a person and escape the room i should be able to hold whichever sign i want. Kind of ruined the entire time for me. I didnt even want a picture if i didnt get to pick which sign i held. Terrible customer service...
. The manager reached out to my boyfriend personally after seeing this review and apologized for the experience we had with Elijah. They provided a refund and let us know that elijahs behavior goes against their policy and the situation would be dealt with internally. I really appreciate them taking the initiative to reach out personally and not only apologize on the young mans behalf, but also for refunding us without us even asking. I guess the only issue was with that singular employee in terms of customer service issues. In order to adequatley adjust my review from two stars, I have to now consider the room itself as well. We partook in Clancys lodge. It was well constructed and challenging, the theme was there but I never felt it reach resolution in the story line. It had a fun surprise and some spooky elements. It was my first time at this escape room but I previously completed every room at Method escape in fresno. I felt clancys lodge was more difficult for me to solve than any of the rooms at method even though it wasnt rated as the most difficult room they have. Method escape has screens on each room where you could read the clues. Clancys lodge however had an old telephone to call your game master on. It was incredibly quiet and staticy and hard to hear the game master, which resulted in us asking him to repeat things he said at least 3 times which took time away from the game. The final clue was accidentially left open so when we entered the room, the game master had to enter the room and close it until we found the key to open it. Which kind of killed the illusion and magic. Keys were left in the wrong spots so when we would ask for a clue, the game master would tell argue with us about where it was until we would find it somewhere else and he would say oh my bad, thats not where it was supposed to be. My final critique about elijah himself is that i believe he didnt like me for some reason. My competitive energy and volume, perhaps. He was obviously frustrated with me for some reason. My boyfriend and I would argue about who would call for a clue because neither of us could hear on the phone and when i would convince him to call, elijah would refuse to give my boyfriend the clue. He wouldnt give us a clue until i came to the phone. My boyfriend would just say he wont give it to me, he wants you to come to the phone which is insane. Anyone should be able to receive the clue from the game master. So the arguing took time away as well. Elijah was on some kind of power trip and it was just not okay. The sign was just the final thing that broke my heart. I know its silly but i cried when we got in the car. I would love to try a room there the right way, with things in the right place, clues more easily obtainable and polite staff but after my first expeirence im just not willing to drop that kind of money again to see if it was just a fluke expeirence. I will change my review from 2 stars to 3 because they provided a refund and apology.
Great! Had a fun time with friends! I ve done escape rooms before and this was a blast! The Kings Keep was challenging but not too challenging we were able to escape. Highly recommend!
Really fun! We did Clancy s Lodge and had a few jump scares (mostly from our own jumpy-ness) but still best escape room experience I ve had!
So much fun!! This was my first time doing an escape room here and we did Cerebral. It was the perfect blend of scary and fun. Damien helped us out and he was wonderful! So real and funny. Overall, great experience. Definitely coming back and recommending to others!!
So much fun for our family! The rooms are so well thought out and decorated, our puzzles were hard enough to be challenging but such an adrenaline rush when you get it right! Good job Next-Gen we will be back, we really loved it!
Fantastic, I cant think of anything bad to say about the place. Ive been to a few different escape rooms and this one takes the cake, easily. Awesome and friendly employees as well (cant remember his name, Saturday Feb 5th 4:30, younger guy, maybe late 20s). Bomb room was surprisingly funny! Kings Keep is a bit easy but the website does say for beginners. Beautifully designed. Excited to try the cabin!
We did Clanceys Lodge and had a blast!! The room was challenging but so fun! And the staff went above and beyond to provide a fantastic experience! We can t wait to book our next escape room!
My family and I had a great experience here, it was our first time and we had so much fun. Our host was very nice and helpful.
Our team of 8 did Kings Keep and it was such an awesome team building activity. We worked great together to escape in time and shared many laughs along the way. Highly recommend Next-Gen Escape Room!
It was so much fun! It takes great teamwork with good mind thinking and communication. Try it! Its so much fun.
Super fun. We did Kings Keep with 2 adults and 4 kids. It was the perfect beginner room. Only giving it 4 stars because the room was a little warm and the front lights were broken so the parking lot looks like you re gonna get mugged. lol All the lights were off and some of my guests thought it was closed. Otherwise super friendly customer service and a lot of fun.
Great escape room! Did Cerebral with a group of friends - challenging but very rewarding to get out. Definitely recommend this room. Our main host Damian was super nice and very funny. Will definitely be coming back here to try the other rooms.
We had an amazing experience here! The puzzles were just challenging enough to make the biggest obstacle your friends which is my favorite type of escape room. Damien was the perfect host and helped out only when REALLY needed or if we asked. This was the best escape room weve ever done
This was my first time ever doing any sort of escape room, and oh boy was it fun! 10/10 would recommend!
Right off the bat as we enter the building was greeted by the best employees! Everyone was very helpful with hints as well. My partner and I had never been to an escape room before so this was our first time and let me tell you it will not be our last! Also wanted to give a shout out to Damien was so helpful and made us feel so welcome, even offered to take pictures. Was one of our top date experiences!
Got my son and his friends the King s Keep for his birthday - 4 boys, 12 yrs old, had an absolute blast. They were energized for hours afterwards reliving it, and congratulating each other endlessly. I would definitely do it again - they loved it! I had a great time looking around at the awesome games and puzzles they had for sale and chatting with the staff and their friendly dogs. Thank you NextGen for making my son s birthday such a huge success!
Our group had a fun time! We did Kings Keep, which is the beginner room, since we had people who had never done escape rooms before. Everyone was able to interact and solve puzzles together! I appreciate the immersive atmosphere of the room as well! Everything was really well done and it felt like you were really in a dungeon! We hope to come back and do another room!
We had so much fun! The staff was super helpful and nice, such an awesome experience!
Escaping from Clancey s Lodge was terrific fun! The clues were challenging and really made our group think outside the box in order to move on. Damien was a great host with a fun personality. We were lucky to have him guide us along. I am already talking about going back to try another room because we had so much fun!
