Ingenious Escape Rooms - Bakersfield Stockdale

This was a really cool experience. It was my first time doing this, so I was not sure what to expect. The other people I was with had done it at another facility and stated this one was much better. It had more than one room connected as part of the theme or experience. The staff was helpful and accomodating

I give this place 4.5 stars. The puzzles are engaging and we have enjoyed both of the rooms we have done. Javen was our game guide and was very friendly and helpful. They provided plenty of hints and most of the puzzles we could solve without help, but some were a little beyond us. I like the vibe of this business.

Super friendly staff. Went above and beyond. Room was perfect for the 4 people in our party that were experiencing escape rooms for the first time but challenging for the 2 of us who had done escape rooms before. Just the right amount of hints when needed, and just nudges to the clue. Story was cool and they had really worked hard to make the room immersive and realistic with professionally recorded videos to set the stage and updated while the count down continued to real working props like a pay phone and an arcade machine. Wide range of puzzles and challenges and many different types of locks. We all had a great time.

Great Room, It was absolutely fun and very immersive. I enjoyed this room all the puzzles were interesting. The room was very well constructed and very surprising at times. Definitely do recommend.

Heck of an escape room! Loved their attention to detail and the stories are fun to go through. We got through a whodunit and escaped with 20 minutes to spare! The entrance is a little warm, but the rooms are comfortable once you start the escape. 10/10 Looking forward to new rooms in the future!

Went with my husband and two kiddos(12 & 14yo) we all had an amazing time! We will definitely come back to do other escape rooms! Also it was so cool to see my kids mind at work, I m a proud momma

I highly recommend the video store themed room. This was highly detailed and very cute. The entire experience was amazing. Environmental effects were wonderful. The game master was great. We finished with over 10 minutes to spare. Even if you have no personal memory of what a video store is, it was still charming and a bit like time travel. There was a good mix of physical implements, searching, collaborating and technical puzzles.

I liked it. It was my first escape room and we got out in the nick of time. Probably not the most upscale escape room. Worth the price with the Groupon. Still had lots of fun with friends trying to get out. Fun, funny and sarcastic staff to greet you. Lots of puzzles to help warm you up before going in for your real escape.

Very fun experience. Staff we had made the whole experience immersive and soo worth the price!!! The set up itself was cute, fitting, and all around on point for the theme of our room (bayou mystery). Room was small but the staff make up for it. Would recommend for a fun trip with friends or family

The puzzles within the rooms were challenging but solvable. The props looked great and were totally immersive. The staff on hand were really friendly. All and all the whole experience was great. Each room was better than the last.

These guys were super friendly, the puzzles were complex enough to eat time, and the rooms themselves had enough scatter to keep some of us very occupied! Our group had a blast, and we definitely intend to return!

You did a family escape room with my 10-year-old and 12-year-old daughter s. We all had a blast. We will or able to finish it with one second left the murder mystery room

We like escape rooms. This time around, we decided to try a new place and brought some family with us. The rooms are simply designed and fun. Perfect for a first-timer or a family group. We definitely want to go back and check out all the rooms, but I think well wait until it cools off or they get better AC!

I took the boys in my youth group here, and it was a blast from start to finish. Amanda was friendly and personable, and gave us a concise and informative overview of our room before we got to it. And the room was terrific! We were in the zombie one. I dont want to spoil it, but each riddle solved was satisfying, and there were several Ohhh, YES! moments shared between the boys. The designers also wove a pretty nice story and lore into the room, as well. Make sure you read all the notes! Our highest thanks. We had such a fun hour here!

The team here is absolutely fantastic!! From the moment we walked in they were so welcoming and friendly. It was our first time ever doing an escape room and we ll definitely be going back! The room was fun, difficult but not too difficult and we all had a great time! 10 outta 10 recommend Real Escape!!

We had a great time! The service was excellent - very friendly, attentive, and helpful. We felt like the puzzles were well designed and fun to solve. The only negative thing we had to say was regarding the mystery to solve in addition to the actual puzzles. This wasn t quite an escape room; more like a whodunnit. Like I said, it was fun, we just felt like the mystery was a bit too elusive to actually solve without major helps and pushes from the hosts which they did give. But with all the help, it ended up feeling like an empty victory. Like we didn t REALLY solve it, we were just hand-held to the solution. Otherwise, it was a great experience, and we will be back to try other rooms!

We had a great time. It was perfect for my 9 year old grandson. He was able to figure out most of the puzzles. He was so excited to find the last requirement and leave the room with time to spare.

10/10 experience. Went with a group of 5 and had so much fun that were planning on going again for a different week for another escape room. We did silent night and completed it with 10 minutes to spare.

5 stars for sure! the rooms are challenging and fun! Who Dun It has a great story and the Silent Night is super intense. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Me and my husband were looking for something fun to do in Bakersfield and came across this escape room. We had such a good time, and especially appreciated the Customer service we received. We definitely want to return to experience the other rooms which seem like so much fun. Definitely worth every penny!

We did the murder mystery room with 6 people, and it was appropriately challenging. When we got stuck, we received nudges that made us go oh! The room and clues were set up nicely and efficiently. Solving an escape room is addicting! We can t wait to come again!

We went for my sons birthday and had so much fun! The owners tailored it to something that would work for younger kids also. I would highly recommend. It was really high quality and something fun to do together as a family!

The people running this place are awesome. They re very clearly passionate about what they do, and all around very friendly. This was my first time and I thought there was a great variety of easy and hard puzzles, and they give clues whenever you feel like its needed so you re not stuck for the whole time! Definitely recommend!!

Great for the price. I went here today to do one of their rooms and after solving it,with time to spare, my group and I decided to do another one. We ended up passing the next with room less then a minute to spare. Now yes their are escape rooms with more money and newer equipment however it seems like the people here make the most with what they have and do interesting things to make the experience great and memorable. I would recommend to anyone who is looking to try an escape room in Bakersfield.

Our first escape room, didnt know what to expect, we did the bayou mystery and had a lot of fun, my eleven year old grandson surprised me in solving this mystery more then I expected, it took team work to get through each step, although we ran out of time it was well worth it, will definitely be coming back. Cost for the bayou was the least expensive

Came for a company Christmas Party, super fun team building activities. They have a party room so we were able to bring lunch in. Super helpful staff and so much fun!

We did the murder mystery, was fun and a good challenge! The staff are awesome and very polite. Will definitely be back for the zombies!

I did their murder mystery type of room yesterday with some friends, it was an amazing experience. If you ever played Clue, youd love this experience even more!

My daughter and I (shes 10) drove from Kingsburg to visit Real Escape and Im glad we did! We had such a great time! Eric was hilarious and did a great job making us feel like we were apart of the game. Highly recommend this spot! We cant wait to receive our badges! Great job designing Wonderland. We will be back!
