Ingenious Escape Rooms - Bakersfield Rosedale

Short answer: Super fun activity to do with family/friends. We ll be returning do complete all the exciting rooms. Long answer: My dad and I had come years ago but they ve since improved DRAMATICALLY. The puzzles for the Hawthorne Hill Hospital were amazing. It was definitely challenging so don t pick this room first, work yourself up to it by doing the easier rooms. These rooms, backed with the stories introduced, are SO insane. We kept entering new rooms and spaces that made the world feel realistic...
Read full review and exciting. The atmosphere was so immersive and the sound effects just put it over the top. There s also so many tech-related puzzles that would suddenly pop open once you ve solved them (so fun!). You can tell that Mike, the game master, took his time intricately placing each puzzle and its connection to the next event.

We found ourselves in Bakersfield for the night and decided to book Who Dun It. The puzzles were clever, and the overall concept was unique, given that you had to solve a murder, determining who, how, and why. Our guide, Lily, did a great job of welcoming and orientating us to the room, as well as providing us with a hint or two along the way. Overall, an enjoyable experience and we would give their other rooms a try if in the area.

We had a great time escaping from What Happened at Hawthorne? We escaped with 4 minutes left. The puzzles were challenging and the room was well designed. Had a great time and would definitely return to do another room here.

I played I Want Him Dead and What Happened at Hawthorne. The rooms both do an excellent job at immersing the player in the story. It really feels like you are inside a hidden speakeasy or spooky insane asylum. The puzzles are logical and compelling and the owners were clearly passionate about the industry and the players. This was a surprising and exciting find for Bakersfield. I highly recommend this venue for birthday parties or for date nights or just for people looking to have a good time. When their new room comes out I will be back to play it for sure.

This was so much fun! I was so impressed with the way they made the clues and gently assisted when needed. The experience was so awesome, I can t wait to go back! Sebastian was great, explained everything to us, very friendly.

I booked our experience for Mothers Day and had a great time. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful. The decor in the lobby is really thought out and you can tell there was a lot of effort and consideration put into it. Going into the room I felt the same. Everything is very thought out with a lot of puzzles to make your brain really work. When you cant get a puzzle youre presented with a clue. It was such a fun experience and I will absolutely be coming back and recommending it to others. Thank you!

It was very fun. I ve never been to an escape room so I didn t know what to expect, it was a good mix from scary and mysterious. Every time I thought the room was not going to get bigger there was another room that opened up. Matthew was our guide and he was really nice, thank you Matthew.

Just finished my second time trying out these escape rooms. Our group did the I Want Him Dead room, and we had so much fun!! It was definitely a challenge, so be ready!! The staff was super nice here too. I would recommend this place!!

Your puzzles were unique and we laughed as we rushed to get the clues solved and on to the next task. The attention to detail was impressive, with intricate decorations and props creating an immersive environment that immediately drew me in. The room was spacious enough to accommodate our group comfortably while still maintaining a sense of confinement that added to the tension and excitement. Group Two participated in Who-Dun It . The players expressed that this detective mystery was ingeniously crafted, seamlessly integrated into the narrative of the room. Each clue and riddle felt like a piece of a larger puzzle, requiring collaboration and critical thinking to solve. From unlocking hidden compartments to deciphering clues, every challenge was thoughtfully designed to keep all involved both engaged and on their toes. Thank you again for giving us all such a great experience.

What an incredible experience! We ve been through a few escape rooms and are no means an expert. Our game master, Javen, was patient, energetic, and just as excited about our accomplishment as we were! When warranted, clues were provided by a message on the TV, allowing us the nudge we needed to figure out the puzzle without being told the answer or solution. Hands down best method. Thank you for the wonderful experience! We had so much fun we stayed to do another room!

Can I give more stars Such an amazing experience! My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary, just us two, and it was a blast! We haven t stopped talking about it since and we will definitely be back with friends. The worker made the adventure even better too!

I went with a group of 5 and we did What Happened at Hawthorne? and it was an incredible experience. The puzzles were challenging, but super fun and the set-up/props made it feel super real and made the experience a lot more fun! The sound effects and the room as a whole was top-notch. Our game guide was Sebastian and he was exceptionally helpful and friendly towards my friends and I. He helped guide us in the right direction when we were stuck and was very accommodating towards our party. He made the game more engaging/entertaining and made our experience 10x more memorable. We will definitely be back!

Whenever Im back home, I always make sure to make time to visit Ingenious Escape Rooms with me and my friends. They have a variety of rooms that make you really work to escape it which I highly appreciate (even though I get stressed at times). They have multi rooms as well which make the experience even better! To this day, weve done 4 of their escape rooms and I have to say, if you love escape rooms and puzzles, Ingenious is the best one to go to in Bakersfield.

So. Ik you re at grad night but I ve got short term memory lol. The game was really good and the image of the 7 helped figure out what to do with the darts. I really liked that. The intro video explain the locks was hard to follow, especially as a visual learner, and made it hard for the other people in the group who haven t done an escape room, have difficulty with the locks. Rory and his grandpa couldn t find the look through the mail box for the door knock code lol. I found that funny.

My family and I had such a great time! We did What Happened at Hawthorne , gave us some creepy vibes (as it s supposed to) but it was so fun figuring out how to escape! We were able to finish with a few minutes left, so definitely had us working together the entire time. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating to our slightly larger group! Will definitely visit again next time we pass through here! Thanks for such a fun experience!

It was super fun and we had a blast. Lily (our game master) was super sweet and listened to us yap about a non-existent gay couple (what we thought was the motive for murder). I would recommend this to more people and Id honestly come back again with my friends.

My daughter wanted to do an Escape Room for her 13th bday but I wasn t sure if it would be too challenging. The sweet young lady on the phone gave me so much good info and assured me that would help them more since they were younger! They had an absolute BLAST! I will strongly recommend this company specifically for any escape rooms!!!

Great experience, rooms are top notch, the employees are friendly and helpful. They give you a nudge in the right direction when they see you need it but not too much. The owners are great people as well, helped us sort out a bunch of gift cards given to family for X-mas and owner Amanda was kind enough to do all this while we were doing our escape room. First class operation, owners and employees!

SO MUCH FUN! Came in, first escape room for all of us, the team member (Lily!) was wonderful, walked us through the options and gave us a recommendation. Followed the recommendation and had a wonderful time figuring it out! Definitely looking forward to returning.

Did the silent night room and it was both fun and challenging! Had a great time finding clues and figuring out the puzzles. All the clues made sense and allowed you to use critical thinking skills to complete the room! Such a fun teamwork experience. We all had a blast and definitely coming back to do more rooms!

Mike was super helpful and he was really sweet. We did a What Happened At Hawthorne escape room and it was super fun but there are flashing lights. Mike helped us a lot throughout the escape room. Definitely recommend!!

We really enjoyed our experience with Ingenious Escape rooms. The escape room we did was challenging but also fun and achievable for only 2 people. The puzzles were creative and interesting. We also had great support in case we needed clues. Thanks for a really fun night!

We had our first Escape Room Experience and loved it. Our group ranged in age from 12-14 and they had the best time and can t wait to come back. Ethan was a great host, and made our time extra fun!! Can t wait to go back!

It was my boyfriend and I s first time doing an escape room & we had tons of fun! the staff was extremely helpful and walked us through everything. We plan to go back anytime he s in town!

Had such a FABULOUS and FUN time! There were 7 of us ages from 6 years to 81 years old. This was my first experience with going to an Escape Room that was recommended by my daughter from NewYork. What I found interesting is that her research and mine turned up that the Ingenious Escape Rooms in Bakersfield off of District Blvd. was the best one. We went on April 25, 2024. Read full review WE DID! When we would get stuck Sebastian would give us a clue on the monitor screen which helped us to continue on. We had an hour and with 2 minutes and 39 seconds left we finally cracked the case. Afterwards we were greeted by Sebastian who was excited for us, as we continued LAUGHING AT OUR JOURNEY!
