Disappointing Experience at Escape Room 101 - Avoid the Undead Outbreak Room My recent visit to Escape Room 101 to try out the Undead Outbreak Room left much to be desired. Despite the high ratings, my husband and I were thoroughly let down by our experience. From the moment we encountered a malfunctioning lock that the owner had to awkwardly attempt to fix himself, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment. The owners inability to resolve the issue led to him simply bypassing the lock, which...
significantly detracted from the challenge and immersion of the game. Upon expressing our dissatisfaction to the owner, we were offered a meager 50% discount for a return visit. This gesture felt more like a slap in the face considering we had booked a room for five people but played alone as a couple. It was a clear indicator of poor customer service and a lack of regard for our concerns. Overall, our experience at Escape Room 101 and specifically in the Undead Outbreak Room was underwhelming and unsatisfactory. I would caution others against visiting this establishment, as the quality of the escape room and the response to customer issues were both severely lacking. Save yourself the disappointment and seek out a more reputable and customer-focused escape room venue.

Was a lot of fun! We did the murder mystery and solved it (with some hints) and had a blast. Definitely recommend!

If you book here, make sure you ask which location to drive to! They have two and didnt tell anyone in our group of 9 which building to go to when we made our bookings over the phone. The employee who got us started was awesome. He was friendly and funny and made us feel very welcome. The Game of Thrones inspired room was fun. It probably would have been more challenging if the crew didnt continuously give us clues. Granted, we probably could have just avoided looking at the clues, but we...
felt a little rushed at this point in the night since it was the last booking of the day and they seemed like they really wanted to go home. But again, we would have been there a little earlier if we had some direction, and we were only maybe 5 minutes late due to the miscommunication from the company. When we escaped the room, it took us a minute to even realize we had. It was very anticlimactic with zero enthusiasm from the crew working the room. Hopefully they are a little more lively earlier in the day.

We had dinner reservations at 6:15p, and I realized an hour into dinner we wouldnt make our scheduled time at 8:30 for the escape room. I called them around 7:30 to let them know, and they kindly let us know they would allow us to come in no later than 9p. We show up around 9:05pm, and they happily brought us on our way and gave us all the info we needed. The clues were helpful, and every employee there was so nice. We were celebrating my nephews birthday, and this was a great way to end the night. We will definitely be back! We participated in the Diplomat escape room, and thought it was challenging and fun.

We did the Hangover 2 room for a 21st birthday. We had an absolute blast & will return again. Great staff, super fun room. Difficult, but doable. We found Teddy and will be laughing about this for years to come. Thank you, Eacape Room 101!

I booked a room at Escape Room 101 for my son s birthday, and it was a decision I ll never regret. The joy and excitement in my son s eyes were priceless. He chose the Chocolate Factory room, and it was an extraordinary journey of puzzles and discoveries. The room was meticulously designed. The staff was incredibly accommodating, adding to the overall positive experience. If you re looking for a memorable way to celebrate a special occasion, Escape Room 101 is the place to be. Special Thanks to the owner Sean! Thank you for making my son s birthday a memorable one. We can t wait to return for another adventure. Best regards,

Did the Undead Outbreak room and it was fun, but very short. Had 3 people, and we are are pretty good at escape rooms, but usually we get out just in time. This room we finished in 29 minutes, with the last puzzle completed showing we won, and me literally saying really, thats it? Unfortunately, we were provided with 2 unrequested hints that we likely would have been able to figure out ourselves. In the long and hard rooms, its understandable to get nudges to keep you moving along and see most or all of it, but to get unsolicited nudges and then complete the room in 29 minutes felt like quite the gyp--a very short amount of entertainment for the cost.

We celebrated our sons 12th birthday!! The kids had a blast and we were able to celebrate with cake and treats for an hour afterwards in a separate event room they had! The staff are so helpful and friendly and the boys are still talking about it!!

We did the game of thrones related room, and it was a lot of fun! 9/10 difficulty, and it was definitely a challenge! Would gladly return!! Staff was kind and efficient too, and it s nice to be able to book a room for 2 people too, since sometimes minimums are 3 or 4 people.

My girlfriend and I attempted the Speakeasy and Game of Thrones themed escape rooms. This was my first time trying out an escape room. Both rooms were timed at 60 minutes, though they gave us a bit of grace time when we cut it close. The atmosphere of both rooms were high quality, and the puzzles were clever and intricate. There were few lock and key puzzles, and several included sound or knocking, lasers and magnets. The designer had a strong grasp of aesthetics, puzzles, and craftsmanship that make all of these rooms click. I can say that Ill certainly be back in the future!

Reallly enjoyed the Diplomats Secret room! It was fairly challenging (even though we have done a decent amount of escape rooms), and was really nicely themed and very clever. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Would recommend!

My daughter had her 10th birthday here. It was a challenging puzzle to solve, but the staff gave appropriate clues as needed and the girls had a wonderful time. Easiest party Ive ever hosted, and everyone had such a great time.

We did the Magicians Apprentice room and had a great experience. We found the room to be challenging, but Game Master Seamus (sp?) was fabulous at keeping up with us and offering lots of clues (when we asked). Also, we had planned to visit earlier in the year but had to delay because one of our team members got Covid when we were initially scheduled. The customer service here was wonderful. They let us reschedule and we all really appreciate that. Highly recommend, and we will definitely be back!

First time there and we loved it. The staff was very nice and were very helpful with giving hints and clues during the game. We had a blast and we had rebooked for another room after we were done.

It was fun overall, the rooms were pretty good, the group I was with played the Speakeasy room and the Diplomat s Secret. They were a little dirty but had elements that I had never seen before which was cool. However our group is big on playing as many rooms as we can and the owner wouldn t let us play another room even though we only took one hour total to complete two rooms, when we asked to do a third room, it would have started at the same time as our second room was supposed to start and the owner said no because, My staff wants to go home which disappointed us.

Our group of 5 recently experienced in the Murder Mystery. Some of us liked it better than others. We did require quite a few clues to get through. All in all, it was fun, but the price of $200 for an hour of play will limit how often we return.

Worst escape room ever. We did the Speakeasy room in a group of 4. Half the clues made no sense and when the guy went over the puzzles we missed, they made no sense with the room either. Weve done over 50 rooms in multiple states and foreign countries. So, not newbies. We all left super frustrated and it was a total waste of $164. We could have had a lot more fun and not spent that much money.

This was my first escape room experience. I had no idea what to expect and... both my 13 year-old daughter & I had a blast! We selected the GOT-inspired room (Dragon Eggs Quest), which was fantastic. Sean, one of the owners/managers, was incredibly helpful and insightful. Highly recommended. We will be back.

We played Chocolate Factory last week. It was wonderful! The owner was there and he was super nice and accommodating. The puzzles were very interactive and very few manual locks. Each of the puzzles fit the theme so well and they flow suuuuuuper nicely to the ending. Were coming back to check out their other room: The Dragon Eggs Quest and Speakeasy Mobsters Barbershop
